I'll have to find out which company it is, but my friend just installed a ceiling mounted flip down in his Suburban. I'm pretty sure it is a universal mounting system, but I'll try to find out for sure. I also have seen the type that are mounted in a replacement center console.Another more custom installation would be to mount monitors in the backs of the front seats in addition to an in-dash unit from such compainies as Alpine, Panasonic, Kenwood, etc. Unfortunately I do not have and have not seen a TV mounted in a Grand, but I think the possibilities exsist.

Yes, look at sounddomain.com on the Grand Cherokee pages. A few people have done this.
Since you have a 1.5DIN, the in dash units that flip out would probably be the best/ easiest/ cleanest install.

I did the 'glassing myself, but since I'm just starting out in fiberglass (I'm used to building everything in wood), I had a friend from a body shop do the finish sanding (I didn't have the patience). After he was done, I applied the textured paint (from Walmart) to match the factory finish.

You can get the whole system at Best Buy, with the price dependent on the screen size. I am the Mobile Electronics Supervisor at the Best Buy in Savannah, GA. All of the systems carried by us are made by Rosen. You can get a 5.5" flip down screen with a stereo VCR for $699. That includes the screen, uni mounting kit, fm modulator (so you can play it through the existing stereo), stereo VCR, and 2 pairs of wired headphones. For $1099 you add a 6.5" screen and 2 pairs of wireless headphones. Another route is to get separate screens from somewhere and fabricate a mount like Tek did. You can either put it overhead, or in the headrests. And then you can add a DVD or VCR at your discretion. The APEX DVD player, which is AC/DC capable, goes for between $200-250.
The flip out in dash screens are nice, but in some areas are against the law. There is actually an obscure, read "unenforced in most areas", federal law which states that the screen may not be in the drivers view while the vehicle is in motion. Kinda defeats the purpose. The Pioneer in-dash goes for a little over $2000, but comes with a separate 45X4 amp for the speakers. It also allows you to run up to 3 other screens off the main unit and tie in other systems, such as a VCR or a CD changer. All in all the Pioneer is a pretty good deal. You can fold the screen in and the DVD will continue to play on the other screens. And it also will play CD's and tune AM/FM radio stations. The screen is 7". Alpine makes a similar model, and I'm sure there are others out there as well. Hope this helped! Feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I'll do my best to help! Heh. I looked to go the route all you guys are pointing at. But I only needed the TV for Kids on a long trip, and to use at rest-stops and camping sites. So I cheated. I spent $170 and got a little 9" Sylvania Flatscreen TV/VCR Combo and strapped it to my console. Worked like a champ. Darn good picture, and I don't have to leave it in the WJ for the encouragement of thieves. (;

Good call. Another idea is that you can get a video in a bag, which has a 4" up to a 7" screen, and has a VCR in the bag. You can strap it to the seatback or in between the seats and can add another screen if you like. It is also AC/DC so it comes in handy at hotels and such during trips.
