My jeep won't start. Cranks, cranks, cranks, no start. Replaced the coil and the CPS and it still won't start.
I'm getting fuel at the fuel rail shrader valve. I don't think I'm getting spark past the coil. Suggestions? ------------------ -Jason D -------------------- "Don't know the reason....Stayed here all season.... Nothin to show but this brand new tattoo....."

What year ?. Check all the fuses first even if they don't seem to apply. Have you had anything done to it recently ?.

Dude, I just fought this battle. I replaced cap, coil, rotor, wires, plugs, and CPS. Still would not start. I finally broke down and took it in to the dealer. It turned out that it was the CPS, apparently there is a different connection used in some of the aftermarket ones. That fixed my problem though. Check your plug wires, and rotor. That is the small stuff. Also replace the cap. Then work back from there. If nothing else works, check your ECU. There is really not much involved in getting spark in a Jeep, so there can only be a few culprits. Good luck

It is hard to guess what it might be based on what you have checked but before you take it to the dealer or shop check all the fuses first. It would be much easier with a factory scan tool so you can see what the controller sees.
