Default door holes

what can i use to plug the holes where the locks were on these super gay jade green doors?

(they were missing the locks and i never planned to lock them anyways)

if you want to do it right. Trace the hole on paper, then cut out metal the same gauge as the door, then weld them in place, grind smooth, then have them repainted to match your jeep. Then you will be done.

that is the gayest Jeep ever....just kidding

I agree to fill it with a metal plug because you'll probably want to paint the doors anyway. And it might be cool to paint the doors black. Just a thought.

In the meantime your local Ace hardware fasteners section should have a good selection of pop-in black plastic plugs. I believe they come that large.
If not, try the electrical section for metal plugs, or an electronics supply store for panel plugs.
You may want to paint the plugs green to match the doors....

Go look in the drawers of your local Ace hardware. I found plastic and chrome tin plugs for round holes that just snap in. Put a little silicone around the plug (from a tube, not your womans boob!) and snap them in. done!!

hi steve,
my jeep used to have this black and white orca thing going now it looks like the beginnings of a wonder bread loaf.....
got the whole shababa, doors and top and some other stuff. so far the majority of those who have seen it in person hate the white top but it is period correct! i think red stripes and dingle balls are in order like the ones on fantasy island

x2 on the plastic plugs Tim. I have never seen a white top before either. It looks sweet! Just get those doors painted.

Another thought is you could use a hole saw and throw some marker lights in there

removable top Jeeps, by nature, are loud, have lousy aerodynamics, ride like crap, and get horrible mileage. it was that way in the 50's, it is that way now, and it will likely be that way forever.

if any of these are a problem, do not buy a Jeep.
