Default E85 tuning

Don't know if anybody here's up on ethanol.. but..
I'm getting my 401 project put back together. It's high compression, 12.6:1 or so. I intended to just run race gas in it, but now E85 has me wondering. Jeep has fully programmable EFI, wideband and an alcohol compatible pump. So some stainless steel lines should take care of the corrosion problem. But what about the overall power output when tuned to the correct a/f ratios, are gas/E85 comparable? I know E85 loves boost but what about n2o? Other drawbacks?

i do know that with E85, you need a MUCH larger fuel pump. a mustang guy converted to E85, and he maxed out his fuel pumps (2 pumps in a singel basket 03 cobra style) about 80hp before it woudl have with gas. so you def. need a higher volume pump to support the E85.

power is great becasue you can advance the timing liek crazy. and with FI (blower, nitrous) you gain a lot of power by advancing a few degrees.

supposedly take the gas needed for ideal AFR's, multiply that amount by 1.4 or so, and you'll be close to tuned with E85. full alcohol by comparison is 2 times more than pump gas or so.

So I talked to Holley tech support today, guy said the E85 would destroy the throttle body, even going so far as to say it'd eat the aluminum. I'm not sure that's right, probably going to take it apart and see how much rubber's in there.

-update-
Holley guy's full of it. E85 won't hurt aluminum, methanol will. Aeromotive A1000 pump and regulator are here. I took apart the Commander 950 throttle body and bypassed the regulator so the E85 doesn't eat it. I just need a single AN-6 line from the Aeromotive regulator over to the TB.
