Default Fuel Pressure Regulator on Weber

HELLO

Anyone install a fuel pressure regulator on their weber? According to the FAQ on the Omix website the weber will run rich if there is more then 3.5lbs of fuel pressure.

http://www.omix-ada.com/faq.asp

Does anyone know how much pressure the stock fuel pump pushes??

Well if your fuel pressure is too high and overpowers the float valve assy I garuntee you that your engine will have a PIG RICH condition A.K.A. flooded.

Having worked with Webers on VW's and Z-cars it's totally beyond me why anyone would voluntarily put one of these crappy carbs on their ride. In my book the only thing worse than a weber carb is TWO weber carbs.

The stock pump should push around 7-8 psi. I installed a cheap adjustable reg I picked up from Pep-boys and its been much better since. No more black smoke, and I don't smell like gas every time I drive the Jeep like I used to.

Compared to the stock carb it runs more than 100% better. I don't know what your experiences are, but webers have had a good reputation in the Jeep community

I'm pretty sure the pump will over power them. Why not get a regulator and be done with it?
