Default Can I swap in 3" springs?

I'm currently running 2" spacers on stock coils, with OME shocks (from the 2.5" lift"). I'm also running a 1" motor mount and 2" BL.

I've got my eye on a set of 3" coils cheap...can I swap them straight in without having to do anything else? I know a SYE would be ideal...but would it work (for now?).

Without any thing else at all...probably not. At a minimum, I'd recommend an alignment, either shadetree in your garage/driveway/steet or a professional. Adjustable trackbars would recenter the axles correctly, but you could run a bracket in the rear. The front doesn't seem to move as much as the rear given the same lift height. You could be okay as far as the SYE also. My advice is budget for it and if it's not needed, you can spend that money on other parts.

Need an alignment done anyway, and I've got a drop bracket in the rear...

May as well pick them up, they're cheap...give them a shot if it doesn't work I can always swap back.

That's exactly what I did. I had an RE BB with Monotube shocks and picked up some used 3" teraflex coils on the cheap. I took off the spacers, installed the coils and did a front end alignment and that's it. That was 4 month ago and something like 6400 miles of commuting plus offroading with no ill side effects.
