Default charging problem

I searched but must have missed the answer. I have a 93 4cyl YJ. I overestimated a puddle & killed it. I replaced the head gasket & it starts fine again but won't charge. I've taken the alternator off & when checked they said it was fine. Codes are 33, 34 or 35, (looks like a 34 slight pause then 1 more) then 55 I need all the help I can get.
