Default OME install ???'s

I just picked up some OME springs and shocks. The track-bar relocating bracket will come later but I will be doing the install before I get it (hopefully) so that will probubly be another thread.

The previous owner already told me to revers the rear springs (PS on drivers side and DS on the passengers'). He also told me he would give me a set of control arms off of a ZJ that are about 1/2" longer than mine. This would give me alittle more caster but is it nessessary? I do have a 2.5 so from what I have read I will probubly get close to 3".

The taller front spring goes on the driver side.

The taller rear spring goes on the passenger side.

Are the arms adjustable? If they're adj. arms snag 'em for when you do a SYE.

If not, you don't need them. I have 2.5" OME springs & a 1" BL & don't have any caster issues (that I'm aware of).

Forget using that trackbar relocating bracket. It caused more problems for me than it solved. If you need to re-center your axle, the new JKS rear trackbar is the way to go.

Agreed on ditching the relocation bracket though I went with the RE rear trackbar.

What problems did you have with it?

I'm not sold on the one we put on my TJ. It's noisy & I think it may be working itself loose.

if you use a bracket weld it on. The bolts like to work their way loose. I would go the JKS route too. It is really beefy and a nice install. s

I hate too spend the cash for the JKS now but I read on another site that the kit will move my axle so much I won't be able to get the driver side wheel on. Should I try to install it now without the bracket or just wait until I get the bracket or the JKS trackbar.

So no problems with running bracketless? Even with a 4cyl softtop and HD springs?

BTW thanks for all of the replys. I figure I will eventualy get the JKS trackbar (hopfully front and rear) if needed.

You'll see my opinion regarding that relocation bracket about halfway down this page:
