I tried to do a search here and google and everywhere that I could think of, but I have not been able to find what the factory output wattage of the cd player in a 2000 tj is. I have another player that puts out only 12 watts RMS X4 (Jensen cd2010x) I am going to be doing a speaker upgrade this weekend (Blaupunkt's front and rear, Bazooka 8" sub for low fill) Just wondering if I should install the Jensen (It was a gift.) Or should I just use the factory or try and find a cheap maybe a bit nicer head unit? Limited funds at this point less than $130.00 that my wife doesn't know that I have lol

Its really up to you, if this is your daily driver i say put hte money into the stereo. For 130 you can probably get a used Alpine/Kenwood/Pioneer or even new. Look for lower lines like the Pioneer 4600 or a low line Kenwood. I would just get one with mp3. |
