Default Hurst or B&M

Considering changing out shifter on my CJ-7 T5. Anyone done this upgrade and have strong feelings one way or the other? Read in another post the Hurst had a two piece lever. So that poster went with the B&M.

TIA

I'd use the stocker on a T5 and wait until I swapped trannies or something to think about blowing money on the trans. But that's just me. I've always loved the look of the Hurst shifters.

I'm sure either one would be nice. I was about to buy the B&M about a month ago until my dad found me a stock replacement. I'm sure glad I didn't, though. It had been running perfectly, but my T5 just stripped the gears on the mainshaft yesterday with no warning at all. Now I'm about to swap in a T18.

I'm very fond of the Hurst myself. Either one would be a signifigant improvment though. I just like the look of the hurst better, and being that I'm probably not going to ever go more than a 1" body lift, I wasn't real concerned with the warning about not being compatable with body lifts.

I just bought the hurst billet plus shifter off e-bay for 70.00 its used but in great shape. Has anyone done an install on one of these? It didn't come with any instructions and I was wondering if there are any special steps or is it all bolt on?
