Amateur off-road rally series at Disney, OK May 22nd 2004

Everyone welcome to enter.
Multi stage course, split up by 3 classes.
Stock: 32” tire size maximum.
Stock Modified: 33” to 35” tire size.
Modified: 36” tire size minimum.
Entry fee $2. 100% payback to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes.
Driver meeting/signup at first stage 12:00am
Race starts at 2:00
Bar-Be-Que hosted in evening.

This off-road driving competition is geared for novice/amateur drivers.

It is designed to give the average 4 wheel drive enthusiast an opportunity to compete in friendly event, designed to enhance driver skill and safety awareness.

This event is designed to be fun, family orientated, and exciting. Since this is an amateur competition the courses and rules are designed for stock and slightly modified stock vehicles.

BBQ.
We will hosting grilled hamburgers and hotdogs in the evening after the event.
A couple of volunteers are pitchin for goods. We will be asking for donations to support the grill. All are welcome. Please give a RSVP so we will know how much to bring.

Just got back from Disney. Scouted and pre-run a couple of courses with my rig (stock-mod) and a stock CJ (stock). I think we found some fun areas.
The courses are going to be setup in the dirt mounds just East of rock garden.
On the Gravel bar to the south.
And running along the river on the East side.
Talked to Russ at Hogans Off-road camp There will be plenty of room for tents, campers, and trailers.
We are going to have some fun.

We are also open for some volunteers. I can use some course marshalls, and general help.

Here is a heads up on how your rigs will be classed at tech. This begins noon by the way.
We are going to be a lenient on the tech so that the classes are close. The tire size is a little relative for the stock & stock-mod.
Example: A vehicle on a budget boost, stock suspension, no locker, and 33" tires, you will be put in stock class.
Example: A vehicle with 3” lift, locked rear, and 33” tire will be stock-mod class.
Example: A vehicle with no lift, locked rear, 30” tire will be stock class.
Remember this is a For Fun event.

What a great weekend. Good turnout, and looks like alot of people had fun.
Big thanks to the folks that helped out. Volunteers, food donations, and everything else, couldn't have done it without you.

The race was a success. I wasn't expecting you all to drive it so fast. Showed me you like to get'r done.
