ugh....well i took a corner w/some buddies in a car (well turned right from a stop sign) and started to slide. well it kept going so i gassed it to keep it and then it hit a downhill patch of solid ice and pulled into a 540 and slid backward 40 feet downhill and went onto a curb and into a telephone pole.

trailer hitch took most of the impact, bumper too. tire popped. the subs flew back and hit the gate and opened it even though its locked. so thats probably fukked.

need new bumper, tire, hope i dont need anything rear axle/sway bar stuff.

ive got pics if anybody cares (or can host).

and dad took it off of collision coverage wednesday, so im not turning it into insurance

sooo...
does anybody know where i can get a deep slate rear bumper? theyre all the same, regardless of 5.9 or not, correct?

well looks like the 52mm/m1 will be a little farther away. DAMN!

most likely not gonna find a bumper in your color so thats ur best bet so far

Try this guy Anthony Bush. he has a wrecking yard with a **** load of Jeep gear for XJ, ZJ etc. VERY cheap & helpful, wish I found him sooner !!!. Tell him Martin from the UK sent you, it will make him smile. If he smiles he is happy, if he is happy you could even get it cheaper !!!

martin- the trip is still gonna be the same time (either spring break or early summer) bc the parents are payin for that one. thanks for all the help guys.

i was going in between 5-10. theres not even a scratch on teh tailgate itself. it was an aluminum pole and the trailer hitch hit it dead in the middle and the bumper took most of it. id be very suprised if this is over a grand.

he took collision off my jeep, his jeep and my sisters car bc for the 5 cars he had, full coverage was a bit over 12 grand for a year.

who can host the pics?

ummm...i estimate repairs at a reputable body shop at 3800 if you were going 25mph when you hit... 5000 if you were going 35 when you hit...

2500 if you were going 15 when you hit.

at the very least you are going to need a new tailgate, tire, trailer hitch, maybe trailer hitch mounting points could be bent, actual metal bumper, platic bumper fascia, those will all need to be painted... you probably have damage to the mounts up on the roof, not going to be cheap, but if you could show some pictures we might be able to help w/ analysis.

i've been in some dumb-ass wrecks, none were less than 6,000 to fix.

oh well thats good to hear. I hit a pole at about 3mph and i know it wiped out my tailgate and bumper and bumper cover... I need new ones of all 3. didnt hit in the middle.. off to the side so the hitch couldnt save me :teary:
