Default couple of questions from a xj owner converted zj owner.

hello to all here.

1) after looking at my zj, the 5.2's springs in front would look better in the rear. How long is a RE 3.5" rear spring? is it shorter or close to the same length as a stock v8 front?

2) upcountry packages is very evident in the xj, it is wrote in the side pin stripes, what is the easiest way to identify a upcountry barring just looking at the hieght of it on a zj, and is their a motor requirment on the up country package like only 4.0's.

Thanks for any responses, I admit except for knowing the basic drive train stuff, i know little about these JEEPS, I honestly never payed attention to these grocery getters till now, j/k.
Thanks for any response. Not making a trail rig, just a nice DD/ tow rig sometimes.

1)I don't know. I'd guess pretty close to front stock coil length.

2)Probably to look for the tow hooks to ID an UC.

Thank you. I did have some trimming to do. No rubbing at all because my wheels are 15x8 with 3.75" back spacing.

I had to trim just a touch off the front bumper. It was no big deal at all. Here is a link to some of my pics:

edit: I also had to trim some of the mud guards underneath. I don't have any pics but its the stuff that is mounted on the rear of the front bumper in the wheel well. It rubbed when I was backing up with the steering wheel turned to the right.

I've never seen an XJ with "Up Country" in the pinstripes. I've seen XJs with "Country" written in the pinstripes- that's a model name like Laredo or Sport or Limited.

How to tell you have UC: If you've got tow hooks and skidplates that means you either have UC or the skidplate package. Go to your dealership and get them to print up a build sheet for you. It'll tell you exactly what options your Jeep was built with- it's more detailed than a window sticker. They won't charge you for it.
