I'm going to do the TFI upgrade but use the Duraspark 2 module. I've searched and the wiring diagrams all seem to refer to the use of the OEM Duraspark (82 cj8). Does anybody have the wiring diagram using the Duraspark 2 module and could you please post it? I'll get the connectors at the local pick n pull. Thanks

The OEM Duraspark in any CJ is Duraspark II. All of them are generically referred to as plain old Duraspark. That's probably where the confusion is.

There were two module types offered in the Ford trucks. One was Duraspark and the other was Duraspark two. John Strenk put them in a post a few months ago. Wasn't the Duraspark two the one that had two sets of wire looms coming out of it? One set I believe went to an altitude sensor, and a vacuum sensor I believe. I don't think the CJ's came with THAT Duraspark II.
Here is the old post. |
