Wow, I've never seen that rear bumper. It looks nice, I like it. I'm interested to know more too, even though my Durango is fine for now, it is a good looking rear.

That looks good. I wonder what the price is? I have their bumpers front and rear on my YJ. They seem to hold up well. Might have to look into one.

The front bumper sure looks nice.
I do have a question on the winch installation.
Sits too high for my liking, as it looks like it would really block airflow.
I'll stick with my ARB.

Cool

I have the front winch bumper. Mine is without the 'brush guard'

I am happy with it thus far. VERY stout and the installation is not too difficult.
Mine had a couple bolts on one side that I could not get to line up just right so I had the bumper welded to the mounting brackets once I had all the bolts tightened down.

I would buy it again if I had another XJ.

As for blocking airflow.....no problems in 100+ deg Florida heat....moving or sitting still....I am running Warn's X8000 winch.

I have been told that the Warn Rear Bumper and Tire Carrier and their pricing will not be available until the end of July.

if you are looking for something a little different, but completely trail tough take a look here>>>>> AedoFabrications

he does awesome work. I have a front and rear bumper (plus sliders) done by him. Mike is a good friend of mine so if you call (or email), just tell him I sent you and where from.

I make nothing from this, but his work is too good not to pass along to others. The black ZR2 on his site is mine. he makes custom stuff for all brands.

hope that helps

I like how that bumper has the winch recessed and the angles on the side but $600 bucks is steep considering it is just a winch bumper no guards. Hanson's if very similar and it is only $490.

From what i remember the warn starts at about $600. Add the grill gaurd and crap and it goes up from there. Too expensive IMO. The tire carrier is probably more expensive.

I priced the front Warn bumper with brush guard here in Salt Lake City at 6 States and they wanted around $650. I didn't think that was too bad with bumper and brush guard.

Default warn stuff

I was curious to i saw this in some mag like a month ago and haven't seen anyone on here use it, i like the rear one how the swing out sits high and the hinges are on the top of the bumper ends. Not t jack the thread but this is related. I am in the marjet for a front and rear bumper, and want a swing out tire carrier on the rear. So far i htink i am going with the C4x4 (both front and rear) but in the pic's it looks like their swing out tire carrier is hinged on the bumper not the bumper ends like the warn. Most of the stuff seems very stout, but has anyone hit or bumped something and unneccesarily damaged both the c4x4 bumper and the carrier? or is this a moot point and i am being a sissy worry wart and they are both so bomb proof that if i managed to damage the carrier it wouldn't be my greatest concern because my hatch and rear would likely be F'D up also ? thaks in advance for any input guys.

Yeah, pretty much, if you got hit hard enough to mess up the bumper and tire carrier, you're going to have bigger and worse things to worry about. And yes, the C4x4 tire carrier does mount to the face of the bumper, and not the top. The upside to this is that the tire carrier doesn't block any of the tail lights like all the other top-mounted tire carriers do (this can be an inspection issue in some states). I've been running C4x4's rear bumper/carrier combo since the summer of '97, with nothing but praise for it.

I've had 3 mishaps with my C4x4 rear.
1. First year I had it, I was backing into a space at work. Forgot about the parking lot light standard. Backed into the 3ft wide 30" high cement casement. Took a chunk of cement out. No damage to the carrier/bumper.
2. Stopped at a red light. Some guy rear-ends me. He hits just under the center of my bumper. No damage to me, but his Toyota had a hole in the hood where he hit the tirecarrier bolt, and his whole hood was crumpled back about 4".
3. Camp Jeep trail #5, 3 years ago. It had been raining. I went down a grade of about 20*. Had to stop at the bottom to back up a bit so I could make the turn.
A woman in a 99 TJ on her first trail ride, got too close to the hill, and slid down.
Hit the right rear side of my bumper with her left fender. Caved her fender into her tire. No damage to me.
Oh yea!, forgot one more!!!!
At the Hydra-spray car wash. I had unpinned my carrier, and forgot to re-pin. After the hand wash, I started out of the bay. My carrier swung open, and hit the side of the polebarn type building.
Glad the owner wasn't around. The slide-down door had a hard time closing after that.
Some scratches on the carrier.

no offense or anything, but isn't that thing just a little overpriced...hell an ARB is about the same price and includes a brush guard and looks nicer...but to each his own....later, eric

Wow, I do not like that front bumper, it looks huge! Also looks like you loose about 10"+ of clearance in the front.

This is my favorite winch bumper for sure. Keep in mind, anything can be done for the brush guard part.

The rear bumper carrier doesn't look bad, but I would never put my tire on the rear so what do I know!!

none taken.

the ARB is also considerably weaker and has less approach angle.

IMO, I think the price is very fair. if you could see them in person, I think you might agree with me. you will not find a better custom bumper.
it can obviously be changed to suit certain needs.

I'll stop there because I don't want to be pushy or have someone feel like I'm trying to sell something.

just trying to give someone another option to choose from. :spinhead:

good luck and happy wheelin.
