Thumbs up www.ackits.com (Arizona Mobile Air) - great service

Just wanted to say so far I'm really impressed with AMA's customer service!

A week or so ago, I emailed them some questions about A/C for my TJ.. they answered right away (two different people) and even went and emailed me the installation manual.

I saw some positive comments on here about them, and figured I might as well pull the trigger since it's been 90 degrees and rainy here in S. Florida.. well I placed the order on wednesday via their website at 5:00, and at 5:30 they emailed me back with the UPS tracking # for the order!!! Looks like it'll get here in about a week!

Awesome service so far. I'll be sure to take pictures and document the install so all the other TJ owners without A/C can scope it out.

I can't wait to drive in the rain and not show up at my destination hot, sweaty, and pissed off! (don't know if others have the same experience, but in my 99 even the "cold" vent setting is at least 5-10 degrees warmer than the outside air...)

Anyway, just wanted to give them two thumbs up, next weekend I'll do the install and report how that went!

Can't wait to hear how the install goes, as I have been looking into an AC system for my 97, so far www.ackits.com has had the best price... Let us know how the install goes.

Thanks

Kramer

You won't find a better price on such a great kit from anyone other than Arizona Mobile Air. Sometimes I sound like I work for them, but I really don't. :wavin2: The owners of that place have something really good going there. I ordered my kit now almost 2 years ago after I looked back through my old receipts. It sounds like they have the same great customer service now as they did then. Many times, when the business grows, customer service is lost in the shuffle. Dell Computers is a prime example of that. Regardless, those guys at AMA, Inc. always get my vote!

Ok, just to keep everyone in the loop -

Got the kit today, everything looked great. They actually supplied a couple brand new Mopar parts - the 99 and up dial-style A/C controls (woohoo) and a mopar actuator to move the door vent. I disassembled my blower box and put the A/C core into it tongiht, everything went pretty smoothly.

Now the bad news: they appeared to ship me the wrong compressor, the one they sent had a dual pulley (for v belts) instead of the serpentine pully that I needed.

I called them up, and in about 5 minutes the guy made arrangements to ship me the correct compressor (via 2 day air), no charges on my credit card or any nonsense like that.

So far, everything's looking good! Very impressed with the quality of the components, now we'll see if I'm smart enough to finish the install!
