Default 01 WJ w/FT 4WD ?

Looked at the jeep stealership at the used WJ's today.
They had an 01 WJ 4.0 w/ quadratrac or quadradrive? (full time 4wd).
I did not even know you could buy one like that?
Seems like the 4.0 w/ full time would be way too slow.
I did not test drive it but I did double check under the hood and it was indeed a 4.0 and the shifter has 4wd low and full time.
Is this unusual or am I crazy?

On a side note they had the new 04 KJ "freedom edition" :poofey: which nearly caught flame, it was grotesque :barf:

Yeah you could get any transfer case with the 4.0. At one point you could even get Quadra Drive with the 4.0. It's not all that common to see one with Quadra Trac II, but it is possible. You can't get QD with the 4.0 any more.

The 4.0 has been available with quadratrac 249 as an option since the first ZJ in 1993.

OK, thanks guys.
All the 4.0's I have seen in the past had the 231 or 242, guess I need to get out more .
