New VS. Old design of Tuffy Stereo Security Consoles - any opinions?

I hear people say the old design is a lot better (with the swing out stereo cover, rather than the swing up and slide under style) because of less rattling amound other things.

Can anyone attest to this or any other differences that should matter?

I can slicks. I just gave you my impressions of the new one yesterday. I just think its kind of a shotty design. Midnight moose on Chi4x4 has the new one, ask her.

I just installed the new one yesterday, and so far no rattles.

I was a little bummed that my new Cobra wouldn't fit the hole, though.

Time for a new CB!:winky:

I have the new one...no rattles. I just don't like the cup holders being on the back. I have pics of it in my sig. HTH Dave

I have a question about that console. Do you wire your CD player through that storage area or is that just a place where you can take the face off your cd player and store it?
