Default steering stabilizer removal and lift instal

Just finished up my install of RE 4.5 springs, discos and TB, tera lowers, brakelines, 32 procomp muds and now im working on getting rid of the vibe and getting the damn SS out of there so i can put the new one on.
HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THAT "ETB" OUT???
ive tried a search, but im still a little sketchy.

I tried a BFH, but that didnt seem to move it at all, and i dont want to mash the threads.

thanks

Go to Autozone and rent a tie rod end puller. Put that on there and get it torqued down really tight. If it doesn't pop, hit the tie rod puller on the end of the press bolt with your BFH. It should pop right out.

I did it this weekend using a two jaw puller (large one, high quality) and I bent the bolts that connect the arms but, I got it out!

Good Luck,

Are you talking about wher the SS mounts to the drag link if so try a three jawed puller But if you have a new SS just just hit it harder or use a bigger hammer thats how I removed my stock SS I only mildly damaged the thread and was able to clean them up but who cares you don't need to save any of those parts.

actually....its also called a "pickle-fork". It looks like a regular tuning fork, and you put the bolt in between the two rods, then whack the other end of it, should pop off with a couple good blows.

Pat

p.s.

Good idea NOT to strip the bolt...its never a good habit

Loosen the nut a couple of turns. Do not take it off. Hit it with a BFH. Since the nut is still on the threads it will not come violently off.

SHOWTIME,

Hate to correct you but a two and thee jawed puller are not the same tool as a pickle fork But you can use a pickle fork also
