Default Gastank skid and hitch compatibility

I was SO excited today, I got my hitch and my Mopar Gas tank skid... readyt o bolt them on..I get teh tank in, and guess what, the hitch wont fit, seems teh skid isnt looking to acomadate teh hitch too, so ,I ended up doing what I should have a while ago, got teh tow hooks mounted.. anyone want to buy a hitch??

It will fit. You just have to "encourage" it.

I have a factory hitch and skid that I mounted. If I remember correctly, the skid is sandwiched between the hitch and frame. I had to do some pounding, but I got it all up there.

ITs ok, Its looking for anew home now ) I have the tow hooks in place, and I dont want a reason some can say, can ya please tow my boat..
jsut love how thigns "fit" together..

just so others don't get scared...
My skidd and hitch mate with no interference problems.
The hitch is a class IV, so I had to drill holes in the skid flange to accomodate the extra mounting of the hitch, otherwise, they were made for one another.

BTW,
what did you mount your tow hooks to back there?

They are mounted inbwtween the tubes, actually, In a sec, I will take a pic to show ya!!

I know, they arent 20,000 pound hooks or anything, but they work great for what I need.....
