Diamond Plates for TJ corners

got a little body damage on the rear corner of my TJ, want to hide it with black powdercoated steel corners...anyone have an opinion on Off Your Rocker or www.diamond-plate.com? Just wondering which one fits best.

TIA,

- jason

Thumbs up

I have the OYR's and I love them. Nice clean install and great protection. They also have them in smooth if you don't want the diamond plate. No experience with the other company.
check: www.jeepersandcreepers.com
I got mine from them a little over a year ago, great service and their price was better than from OYR directly.

I too LOVE my OYR guards. I have smooth steel.

Here's a previous thread about Warrior Products guards. They aravailable at www.quadratec.com . They cost around $100 but you get what you pay for. Especially with OYR.

I went with the OYR because I not only wanted to cover up damage, but I wanted to prevent future damage. I know there are aluminum ones out there that are basically for looks. the oyr are 10 gauge(1/8") the warriors are only 12 gauge(1/18"). You get what you are paying for and the OYR are worth the money. DOn't forget that the $215 from Jeepers and Creepers included shipping.

on jeeperscreepers.com they have the list of OYR guards, and on the YJ it says "w/ aluminum tailgate hinge" anyone know what that means? does it mean, if I have the aluminum or stainless steel hinges?? that confuses me...

Also, anyone know where to get pictures of their smooth steel ones?

also whats everyone's recomendations for covering up body damage? I have some serious corner damage, and don't have the welders or any great skill in putting patches...can I POR 15 it, cover it and go?

The last YJs (late 95 models) had the aluminum hinges that the TJs all got. Before that, the tailgate hinges were steel.
