    Default Key turns car wont crank- broken actuator ignition cylinder

    And they tell you that you need an entire new steering column replacement for $600-800...

    Tell those theives to go pound sand.

    $25 part to fix their so called one piece steering column weak link.

    3 things to pay attention to....

    right above the first line of stars...."found broken actuator ignition cylinder"

    just above napa auto parts log "summary steering column replacement 627.00"

    napa total 45.98

    For future reference, the brass/copper switch spring piece needs to be BEHIND the plastic lip on the center shaft, on the key side of it.


    I took it apart and put it together 3 times before I figured this out, now its all done and fine. Should take no more than an hour to replace. I will add key words to thread title.
