Default 03 TJ New TPS because of code p0122 now Code of p0123?????????

03 TJ New TPS because of code p0122 now Code of p0123? What the heck All i did was put a new sensor in. it never ran like this before until i changed the sensor. my buddy scanned it originally and we got the p0122 code so went to checker and bought a tps, changed it and immediatley started running like crap and light back on. Any Thoughts. I have read alot of forums on this but they were old so hoping there is some new info!

Sure you installed it right? The throttle shaft has to be inserted correctly into the tangs on the TPS . The TPS needs to be able to rotate a few degrees and be under slight tension. If not the shaft needs to be on the other side of the tangs
Maybe you just got a bad TPS.
You can get the codes by turning your key on-off-on-off-on. If done right it will show the codes on your dash and say done.

Where did you purchase you TPS at? I picked one up at the local OReilly Auto Parts store the end of Dec. I had to replace it again in Feb. From what I have read on different Jeep forums, aftermarket non OEM TPS replacements tend to not have a great track record.
One thing I will say about the Oreilly replacement part is that they do back it with a lifetime warranty and stand behind the part no questions asked.

Yes I am pretty positive i installed correctly. i did purchase it from oreiley (checker) auto parts. So i read some other forums and it said to check the clockspring. unhooked the clockspring (airbag light stayed on) still ran just as bad if at all. ????? Bade TPS From store??? i guess its possible. Thoughts anyone?

Disconnect your battery for 10 mins then try starting it after.

I'd start checking the wiring and connectors.
