Default Can WKs Tow and be Good Offroad?

I love my '99 XJ but it isn't the most comfortable on road vehicle and it can't tow my car (2500 lbs) and trailer (1600lbs) as well as bigger trucks.

I've been kicking around the idea of getting a new truck but I don't want to give up the off road ability that my XJ has in bunches. I would imagine a Hemi WK is a great tow vehicle (correct?) but how would it be off road?

    Personal Experience:

The "XK" Jeep Commander Limited with the 5.7L HEMI is a great on and off road vehicle. For off road, I suggest a little lift and a bigger tire than stock. The BFG AT might be a good choice. Of course there is always the gas milage issue. With a 5" lift and 33" tires and lots of extra armor weighing my XK down, I was getting about 9mpg around town.

    Good Luck with your purchase.
