Default Who is building Smittybilt winches?

My boss is considering buying the new Smittybilt XRC 10 HD winch with the compressor built in and I was wondering who they bought out or contracted with to build their winches.

For the money, that looks like a pretty good winch.

Someone gave the name of the factory on a different forum a month or so ago but it's just another Chinese factory so far as I am concerned. It's definitely made in China just like most of the other low-end winches are.

Remember. Made in the USA does not mean made in the USA. Nearly everything is made in China or overseas somewhere, then the product is shipped to the manufacturer in the US and they place the stuff in a box and put the USA sticker on there. Sometimes there may be actual assembly of some kind but there is very little manufacturing left in the US.

I think the main thing is how the manufacturer supports/warranties the product.

Also I think t-max may be done at the same place.
