Kits are expensive. Junkyards and ingenuity are cheaper

I switched '79 Knuckles, spindles, hubs, brakes/brackets onto my '73 in one afternoon. VERY SIMPLE, just switch everything from the axle 'C' out.

Disc brake master cylinders are CHEAP from Advanced Auto.
'79 Jeep was $19.95 with no core charge.

Switched the soft lines over (and extended them for lift) and it was done, easy as could be!

    Default 73 has closed Knuckles

The 73 Wagoneer has closed Knuckles, and drum brakes that have a hard time stopping the vehicle and thats why I'm looking for a disk brake for the Dana 30.

Try a 76 or later. the widths are the same the only thing they changed was the parts from the axle tube out.

That's a good alternative. If you can find one with the same gearing as the D30, you'll probably spend less money on a complete D44 than converting the D30 to disc brakes.

It's '74-79 that you want to look at.

I have a Dana 30 sitting in the back yard with disk brakes (been sitting outside a while, so its rusty) -- could pull the whole knuckles off if you wanted to convert.

PM me if you are interested.
