Thread: XJ with 39" boggers?

    Smile XJ with 39" boggers?

Yea, I finally saw the XJ with 39" boggers that someone had posted a picture of. It was green with wood side panels and TJ front flares. Had D60 full floating axles front and rear. Custom coil over shocks, hydrolic assited steering. He broke one of the rear axles, his milemarker winch failed, and I pulled him out.

Oh and yes I drove over the same spot he broke and got stuck in with my tiny 33s. Lifes a bitch and then someone pulls you out.

This was at Tellico on lower 2 (Rock garden)

Hey JR, I thought I saw that thing go up the road, on Sunday up there. But I didn't put the connection together until now. So which spot on #2 did he break, the curve or the ledge? or neither?

You saw mine w/ 32's, and yours w/ 33's and they sure can hold their own IMO. Did he attemp slickrock on sunday?

We've all seen the pics of that thing on the trailer a million times. Can someone please post a couple pics of it working on a trail??

Looks like there is a whole 3-4" of room in the rear fender wells? Or is it just strapped down really tight??

Yep, he was locked front and rear, don't know the gears. It doesn't look strapped down to me. It didn't have that much flex in the rear, but the tires did jam into the fenders rather well. I think I saw RE spring packs on the rear.

Money Bags, he got stuck not far from the top of lower 2 before it hits the main trail again. It was a rather large ledge, and he simply took the wrong line.
