I have a 94 YJ 2.5 with the manual transmission. Hard to go in gear. It seems to pull a little when you crank it like the clutch is not fully disengauging and is hard to go in gear. I just had a new master and slave cylinder installed at the local Jeep dealer and its no different. Is there a part in the clutch or release bearing that could be worn out? Could the problem be in the transmission? Thanks Yes im pushing the clutch in all the way.

This is just something simple that I know has helped me with other vehicles...
When was the last time you changed the transmission oil?? Sometimes by changing the oil can make a difference.
I've heard folks use synthetics such as Mobile 1, Redline, or Amsoil. (I use Mobile one).
Good Luck....

so you had this problem BEFORE you took it to the dealer to FIX? if so i would take it right back to them. you have the internal slave or no? if it is an internal slave, the tranny/transcase has to be pulled. if they did that then the clutch/pilot bearing/pressure plate and flywheel/ring gear should have been replaced also.
at any rate, it sounds like there could be air in the line and a simple line bleed will resolve it.

I felt like my problem was in the master or slave so I took the Jeep in and told them to replace just that system,94 model has external slave that is not serviceable. Slave and mastercylinder is pre filled and bled from factory.

I also had a problem with with my ax15 before, most of it it was due to the secronizers were shot.. so i fixed it once them the reverse gear shatterd.. so now its a NV4500.. that solved it! but yours sounds like either needs bled out again or pendin on abuse it may als be the secronizers.. Definently use synthetic oit, it helps!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's incorrect to use synth oil in an AX-5 or AX-15. Something to do with the synthetic causing the synchros to slip.
