Won't switch out of four wheel drive

The other day I blew a tire on the trail, I changed the tire on the trail. once off the trail, i went to do a rolling switch out of four wheel drive and the car started whinning and pulling to the left side. Could it be from the donut spare on the front driver's side?

YES! you can't run different size tires and be in 4 wheel drive. wrong forum too.

It should be illegal for any manufacturer to supply a compact spare tire on a 4 wheel drive vehicle. They basically supply the consumer with the means to damage the drivetrain unknowingly.It is wrong. Buy a full size spare as soon as you can.
