Hey at least I'm honest in my advertising:lam:
anyhoo, What I would like to do is outline what I do with my Jeep and what I want to use it for and have you guys recommend a kit within a reasonable price range (no $2500K buggy spring kits) and most importantly WHY.
My rig is a pretty lightweight 4.0 5speed 91 YJ with a soft top, light bumpers, no winch, 4.10 gears and 31" Buckshots on TJ steel wheels . The factory springs are totally and completely SHOT so SOA is out of the question.
I use it as a hunting rig occasionally, a on road convertible and some wheelin in mud, sand and rocks but nothing particularly hardcore, just as a side hobby. Not going to Disney any time soon but Waynoka snake hunt is coming up.
I'm very mechanically inclined and have all the tools and equipment to do serious fabrication and fitting/welding of components but I prefer a simple bolt in for this.
Ride isn't too big a concern however I don't want springs that'll make my kidneys hurt on a dirt road. To me the spring rates on stock springs is fine if they weren't de arched all to hell.
I plan on a small tired <31"> jeep with upgraded axles and diffs that will be very capable despite the 31's
I need durable springs that won't sag, I only want to do this once.
and you thought this post was going to be one of those "what lift for X tires on the cheap" threads:avid:
