Does anyone have strong jount in their D30 I just broke a joint and am looking for a good strong replacement for my cromo shafts. Aparentely locked with 33s in the snow was to much for the joints that were in there.

The axels are brown bc it was the only color I had at the time and the axels were bare and had rusted when I put these joints in I threw them on the lathe and hit em with some sandpaper n paint to stop the rust.

Spicer 760's are a good replacement ujoint if the ears are large enough to fit them. Being they are chromo's, I would think so.
I run CTM's (made from 300M) in Warn 4130 chromo inner & outer axle shafts. I also run the Warn small hub kit which *should* hopefully be the fuse. Some may say; "why spend all that money on a D30?". I did not pay anywhere near retail (or even distributor prices for that matter) for any of my axle parts, plus I installed tham all myself, so it was an easy decision for stronger & cheap cost parts for me.
The CTM's have held up perfectly to my 4.0L, AX-15, Atlas 5.0, 4.56 gears & F&R ARB's on 35" MT/R's. I carry a set of Warn assembled axles as spares with Spicer 760's installed "just in case". :)

I'm now running Yukon Alloys with their Superjoints. Can't say anything acout their durability yet since I just put them in.
Price was reasonable. $497 with the superjoints or $397 with spicer joints

Keep in mind that both CTM's and the SuperJoints have no bearings. The CTMs have a bushing and the Superjoints are all metal on metal so you have to grease the heck out of them in a jeep you drive on the street and no locking hubs.
Bobby Long joints, OX and Alloy Usa are a few other high strength joint options.

Thanks guys I am looking into both joints. For now I am just going to throw a cheap joint in there just to stop the shaft from bouncing all over also this way I am covered if it snows again.

Might want to tack weld the caps in if you are reusing that inner shaft. Chances are good that the yoke is stretched

I am going to try and use this axel dont know if it's possible it's banged up good. It's amazing that it never breaks the outer shaft which is so much cheaper and easier to replace.
