I've got a 95 Lardeo GC. Auto transmission, power everything. She's got 248,000 on her. This has happened twice now. Once last month and again on Thrs.

I go somewhere, park the jeep, go into the place, come back out to leave anywhere from a half hour to an hour later and the jeep is locked up.

By locked up I mean I can turn the key. I have full electrical power. I get no click from the ignition nor do I get it to crank. Nothing just as if the entire battery was totally drained. ALSO the transmission is locked up in park. I can't move it. I can't push the release button in. I can't jiggle much. Nothing. Nada. After about 3 hours it suddenly works. Key cranks and transmission will move just as if it had no problem.

Last month the trip was 23 miles and running short distances [a mile to two miles] between each stop. I made about 5 of em. She locked up on the last stop.

This month I went about 35 miles. Got to the doc's and she was locked up when I came out. No stops. I got her started again after 2 hours. Went to subway [two blocks but wife can't walk it due to health] then went three miles to Walmart to pick up oil. Came out, Jeep was locked up. After 3 hours she unlocked.

Anyone have any experience in this. The computer shows NO codes for this. It's been on the machine twice now. The garage can't find a single thing that could be causing this when they get her.

My bet is it is the computer because everything has a safety if I don't do this I can't lock the doors, if I don't do that I can't do that. It isnt' run hard. It's my main vehicle and goes out once a week or every two weeks or so for about the 23 miles.
