Just replaced, Both front motor mounts. Drivers side was Pretty difficult to line up. The main (long) bolt did not want to go back in. Lots of crow bar got it done. Passenger side was even more fun. The place where the mount bolts to the frame, was quite A trick. 15mm socket, 3/8 drive, w/ flex adapter,& 12" extension, & long flex head ratchet. Add the patience of A saint, & you will get it. Take no prisoners. I can't imagine how it would've been with the fenders still on! So only 250 more miles to go on the clutch break in !! :thup2: Its hookin up great now, But I'm still gonna baby it till 500mi. Readjusted my timing, after (team rush) upgrade. runs better than it ever did, at least since I've had it. Just need to get the cat out, & run winch wires to the back now. Well there's always other stuff, but thats another weekend. Oh yeah, took off the hard top, & put on the bikini today too.:pbj: I've been doing A little each day, & the Heep's running pretty good. (Knock wood). Good thing cause someone's been gettin uptight lately. :wifey: How do y'all deal with that? Couldn't find that chapter in the trusty old Chilton's.

Over the years, I set myself up to have multiple incomes and I try to divide my hobby time with quality significant other time. :thup2:
I have had a handfull of renters, and still do, some for several years. I bought & sold several properties at just the right time. I retired almost 4 years ago, so that's a nice life long income, plus, I started a second career.
I often travel for ~1/2 of any given year, so that's additional non-taxable income from my employers in addition to my salary & overtime.
Additionally, I set-up a secret Jeep bank account that ~$600-$700 each month goes into. :hoos:
Some may say; "I can't do that, I have kids in college." Well, guess what? I do too, and pay ~$2,500 (or more) each month towards college (in a tax shelter), dental, health etc, plus, house payments in San Diego are no joke if you live in a good neighborhood & have a decent size home.
I suppose it doesn't hurt to have a wife or girlfriend who's been at her job for 30+ year in an executive position making good $. :)

Hey Joe, sounds like you've got it figured out. Some of my cousins are in real estate, & they have so much $$$$ they cant decide what to do with it all. I should have listened to them when I was making career choices, early in life. The lady who works next door to where I work, suggested taking my wife out to "A Fat-A$$ dinner". Maybe give her A Nice memory of being in the heep. Darn, the mud, bugs, wind, (in an open jeep), and flying gravel chunks haven't worked like I hoped they would!:grayno:

The drivers side took about 20min. The passenger side took about 10 min. drivers side wouldn't line up so I could put the long bolt back in. Same thing on the pass side, Not as bad, but the nut on the mount stud (15mm) was tough to get A socket on (close quarters). Well worth it like you said. Trans mount was O.K.
