Great looking commander! What is the PN on the rear Bilsteins? Have you done the front?

i can't remember the part number. i'll look it up and report back.

i have not done the front. i want to run coil-overs and get rid of the stock springs. they do not hold up my winch well enough.

Looks similar to a lifted/winched new jeep green XK I saw in SanDiego this week. Nice, too bad you got stuck though... XK would be having the two wheels spinning there huh? Need some lockers.

An absolute beauty. I love the look of modded Commanders. Digging the bumper and tires.

I've been watching your thread at Pirate, looks great! and i figured this would be a better place to ask, are you going to put a skid plate under the front bumper and suspension to smooth it out or is the bumper finished?

x2. Until I think about the joke of a 3rd row seat. I'll continue to look but don't think I will be trading in.

Looks good 4.7!

Ur commmander is amazing. If u get time, come to casper and play with the backcountry crawlers group. very nice ppl. Im lookin into gettin a commander, but the ones in casper are WAY high priced.

it LOOKS good but my stock WJ routinely drove through far more snow than that without EVER setting stuck... very glad I stayed away from the 'new' models.

I guarantee you that your stock QT WJ would have gotten stuck in the same situation.

I wouldn't know, my Stock Select-Trac WJ wouldn't have... :wavzing:

Not my fault Jeep replaced a superior 4WD system with an inferior one - just more reason to avoid all models that use it.

A pic I have off-hand... and it wasn't even close to getting stuck- hell I could stop it, get out, take a pic, then keep going like I was on a road.

you know, i didn't let any air out of the tires when i was screwing around in the snow and got stuck. i got up to 25mpg to bash through the drift. the snow was packed and wind blown. there was about a 3-4 foot drift there. i doubt any vehicle would have made it though really easy.

when i air down to 15psi i easily float on top of the snow without digging in and slipping any tires. we were out a few weekends ago on top of 2.5' of snow.

its pretty easy not to get stuck in 5" of powder.

FWIW I nearly broke off my front lip on my WK after going through light snow. So delicate. :jump:

Oh and Select Trac= the ****. 2wd when you wanted and full time 4WD when you wanted.

My QT-II WJ wasnt that great in snow. No joke I had a hard time getting out of powdery snow. Or maybe I didnt drive it right? LOL

Please, like 247 vs 242 would make any difference in that situation.

Do you mean 3 to 4 INCH drift because 3 to 4 feet would put the snow at or above the hood of your Commander and from the pic it's barely touching the bottom of the bumper.
