I have a Bro-in-Law who is located in Myrtle Beach SC. He bought a '90YJ 4.2 auto. Someone did a TB upgrade along with an MSD ignition box some time before he owned it. It also has a Jasper rebuilt block in it with ~ 30k on it.
It is running like a dog. He has had several 'mechanics' look at it and there is no improvement in how it runs. He is no mechanic. He needs to get hooked up with a 4x4 shop that specializes in Jeeps. He does no off roading but wants this YJ to run right and be dependable. I told him I would consider upgrading this YJ to an MPFI set up that is OBDll compliant using any and all parts necessary to do this from a TJ or XJ 1997 or newer if it were my YJ. He likes that idea.
He mentions that he remembers seeing a 4x4 place that had a tons of CJ's and YJ's in front of it somewhere near Myrtle Beach SC while he was tooling around the country side but can not for the life of himself remember where it was located.
Do any of you South Carolinians know where this place might be? Or any other suggestions?
