I just purchased some new 33x12.50 Mud King Tires for my YJ, YEA!! I forget what a good tire pressure to run with such a light Jeep would be for every day driving and hwy driving.

Any thoughts??

TIA

A few friends run those tires in that size with 8" wheels. They run them ~28psi +/- 2 psi on the road.

Try several different pressures, find the one that keeps the tire flat on the road, 28 psi is a good starting point, after a few miles stop and check the wear pattern and adjust as needed, it depends how much extra stuff you have on your jeep, you know bumpers, winch, ect.

I always ran mine @ 26psi, but U can chalk up the tires and road test them if ya want to get it perfect for your tires.
I put almost 50K on my last set of 33's, and they had VERY even wear all around. Keep in mind a Jeep does'nt weigh as much as a truck.

I run 20psi front and rear(although I have 35's). When I put on the hardtop/doors I bump it up to 23psi.

You could check the sidewall and see what the manufacturer recommends... :o)

Tire manufacturers dont know what the tire is going on, thus, do not list recommended run pressures. All they list, is the maximum allowed.

correct

do NOT run what is on the sidewall.

i run 28psi in my 33x12.5 bfgs, works well, wears even

typically go after what is recommended on the door, that is considering the WEIGHT of the vehicle.
