well i was in the process of taking off an old body lift and when i was taking of my steering shaft i realized that it was frozen and would not collapse. any suggestions that i can try to loosen it back up? btw i have already tried pb blaster. or if all else fails does anyone have an extra one laying around they will sell me for a reasonable price?
thanks guys,
Wes

More PB blaster and time. You can tap it with a hammer to loosen it up. You may have to remove it completely to get the right angle on it. I've never seen one frozen to the point it's unusable, but I'm sure it's possible.

Or pb blaster and a pickle fork on the steering box. I used a friends air hammer with a pickle fork. Worked for me but i was told after that i could have done damage to the box.

Don't beat on the box, it is possible to damage it. Just unbolt the box and lower it until you can get the shaft out. The PB, time and tapping the shaft should free it up.

Cut mine in half with a sawzall and rigged up a slide hammer to get the bottom half off.
if you look closely there are a couple of plastic pins that join the upper and lower sections. drill them out and it should slide fine.
