Why? Is yours mangled or is there a short in it somewhere?

I just did an engine swap. I used an engine out of a 90 cherokee 4.0 into my 94 wrangler. I'm not getting engine turnover or any power at all coming out of the fuse block. I figure if I had a wiring harness out of a 90 wrangler it would eliminate all of the extra wires that I don't need like power steering, ac, etc...

No, you just need the new right things hooked up to the right old things. I would suggest subscribing to AllDataDIY.Com and buy your truck and the donor truck ($40 or so). That will give you both wiring diagrams and you can figure out what goes with what. I wouldn't expect to look here for specific info as we do not know what you have used from each truck, and it's unlikely that anyone would have swapped exactly what you did.
Assuming you have the full donor underhood harness, you will need to connect the column's 'start', 'start+run, and 'Run (Ign)' lines to the new harness. AllData can tell you what color those wires are and where they run.

It more than likely is something in the fuse block - I have power going into it but nothing coming out

I tried the same thing with my 95 I swapped in a 6 out of a cherokee and ended up buying several wiring harnesses to make it work. what you need is a complete wiring harness engine and underdash from the same vehicle, or you will need to do what was suggested above and like I ended up doing tracking down the wiring and patching it into the underdash wiring. I personally hate wiring and after fiddling with it for a month or so I ended up taking it to a local shop and had a guy fix it for me. I learned a lot a about jeep wiring during that time including the fact that the wiring harness in jeep wranglers do not interchange from one year to the next so I highly doubt they would from a cherokee to a wrangler. but I have been wrong before. a friend of mine swapped a 94 6 into a 94 4 and did not have to swap the underdash harness it just plugged in and worked, I did not think it would. basically my suggestion is get both harness from the same vehicle or use what you've got. btw I found it difficult to find 6cylinder automatic wiring harnesses anywhere very slim pickings.

I learned ... wiring harness in jeep wranglers do not interchange.. so I highly doubt they would from a cherokee to a wrangler.I agree, the initial idea in this case was not the best plan, especially because there is no assurance it will produce the desired result. People tend to do what they can wrap their heads around, their own comfort level. This situation is the same as axles, where some folks swap gears and others think it daunting and look for an axle with the new ratio already in it and swap the whole thing.

well at least he was smarter than I was. I bought an engine out of a 97 cherokee. OBDII and everything. I ended up converting back to the yj style and swapping in the earlier style fuel rails with the return line and everything else just trying to "keep it simple like the original" live and learn.

It more than likely is something in the fuse block - I have power going into it but nothing coming outMine has the same symptoms as your does right now. I blew up my ignition switch. Almost everything on your under dash panel is switched lead. Everything except the tail lights. Is that one still live? Check your ignition switch and the starter relay and the wires going into both
