Hey guys, I've got what is probably a TOB issue, but was just looking for "something else to grease" or look at. My clutch has been making a small squeaking noise when I depress the clutch and when I release it. The Jeep has 68k miles on it, so I wouldn't rule out the TOB It sounds like the noise is coming from under the dash, but I'm not sure as I haven't had the gf push the pedal down for me (that's tomorrow).
I have done a few searches and found that this seems to be more common to TJ's then YJ's....maybe it's just the TJ owners creating threads about it. Also, my problem occurs AFTER the car warms up a bit, it's fine when everything is cold. I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not.
Is there anything else for me to check? The TOB in my Mustang was shot for years before I replaced it, so I'm not freaking out, but I'm just not that familiar with the YJ to know what also might be causing it.
Just a note: There is no classic "whirring" noise that comes with other TOB issues I'v heard. It's definitely a squeak.
Thanks guys!
