View Full Version : 95 SE Dash wiring questions

Okay, I'm putting the dash in my new tub, and it's been so long since I took it out of the old one(I had to take a month off working on it after surgery), I can't remember a few things. I was curious to see if anyone could help me out with these:

The green vaccuum line goes on what one of the three nipples on the back of the heater/blower control(see below):

The black vaccum line goes in what hole of the piece in the picture below(if none, where does it go)? The black line is coming from the engine compartment through the firewall(see below):

Do any vaccum lines go on this actuator on the top of the blower box(see below)?:

Where do these plug in(see below)?:

Is there anything I'm missing? I've got all the other wires in the harness plugged into all the correct locations (that I know of):

Seriously, I've searched on this...someone has got to have taken out the dash of a YJ before????

Your bottom picture connects to the wiring harness of your steering column. If you have a small silver or black box left over in your parts collection (with velcro on one side) it's your delay wiper control box.

I finally got back to a project jeep last night and looked at some of the wiring for you. Unfortunately, I have put all the dash back in except the drivers side. Here is what I could find.


1ST Pic- I dont know

2nd Pic- I dont know

3rd Pic- Those go to your rear window wiper, washer, and maybe your defroster if you have one.

4th Pic- The one with the barbed retainer mates with another connecor just above where your hand is in the pic. The wire colors are the same in both connectors. I dont know about the other two pronged one. The one with the conduit around it is a light of some sort and when you find out where it goes, PLEASE pm me because I have been trying to find out where it goes for a while.

5th Pic- Goes to a connector above the parking brake lever. It does look like the one that goes to the steering column and also like the one that goes to the wiper module, but there arent enough wires in it for those. (The wiper control module is just to the right of your hand in your last pic) Look around over your park brake lever.
