Is 450 a good price for a dana 60 cut down to 58 1/2 inchs with 4.10 gears and no perchs

It's a good price for a Dana 60 in any form. Is it complete? (brakes, axle shafts, bearings, seals...)

front or rear? front smoking deal if it is complete. rear, don't really know, never paid attention to cut down prices, full width that would be pretty expensive.

Not too bad. Last one I built was $50 for the D60, $400 for the shafts, $100 for new big bearing ends. Plus add some money if the gears didn't come with the D60 you started with.

No, not a good price.

I got mine for $125 bucks.

I'm going on the assumption it's a rear....since the front already has a drivers side perch on it(ford) or passenger side if it's a chevy.

Rear 60's are easy to come by, and $450 is too much...unless it's already got the disc brakes on it, and the bearings have already been replaced.


Not to mention...running a 60 on anything less than 40's is just asking to plow the ground. Hell...I drag now, on 42's. Cutting down a fullwidth axle is sacreligious as far as I'm concerned.
