got the idea from reading this.

some dude's testimonial on there claims he coupled it with an nv4500 in his Jeep.
also these motors are going on ebay for a pretty decent price for what they are.

anyone ever put this in their YJ? just trying to get some opinions from people that've done this or known someone who did.

These motors are WAY to heavy for a jeep. You would better off with a 4BT.

my buddy runs a 6.2 chevy turbo diesel in his CJ 7, of course he also split the frame in 3 spots 2 seasons later :agree:

That motor is not the shining example of diesel technology, but I believe it is fairly light as those motors go. The 6.9 in the Ford trucks of that era were like 700 lbs and HUGE!

Still, awfully heavy for a Jeep.
