4 banger needs to go

Looking at a 90 yj with a 4 cyl. Nice body, jet black, half hard doors, AC, lifted. What would be a good replacement for the motor? I know CJ's pretty good, but don't know squat about YJ's. What kind of tranny and transfer case would it probably have?

PS It's sitting in a barn, I think i can get it dirt cheap.

if it is a 5spd it will have the ax5 trans and a np 231 tcase.

as far as motor drivetrains it all depends on what you want and how deep your pockets are.
