I have a jeep with a SOA I was wondering instead of buying or making extended bump stops could I use the new daystar shock bump stops instead.
(Manufactured in two different foam densities, Black (stiff) and Red (Soft) to better match your performance requirements. Sold in pairs, they easily install over all shock mounts using the optional Daystar installation tools (sold separately.)

I'm using something similar on my rear shocks. I cut the urethane bushings out of my old shocks and slid them over the rod on my replacement. They're not a permanent solution for me but seem to work ok so far.

Extend the ones on your frame.

I've broken shocks and shock mounts using those rubber shock bumps before.

You are better off setting up the bump stops that are on the frame correctly. Those will stop the shock from fully compressing but that then adds stress to the shock mounts. On a hard hit you run the chance of ripping off a shock mount.
