I just installed a set of 37's on my 88 Wrangler (6cyl) and was wonderin if anyone can point me to someone in my area that can re-gear her. What can I expect to pay for this job? Oh yeah, Im in the Riverside/Temecula area in Calif.

I may as well be the first to ask... 'cause someone else prolly will... are U still running stock axles? D30/D35. And are U planning to spend $$$ to re-gear these? If so, U may want to do some re-search in this forum. I'm think I can say with some confidence, most here will not recomend doing that to run 37's.

btw... :welcome: newbie!

oh yeah... IMHO the average rate can be anywhere between $300-$450 an axle.

Yeah if your on stock axles don't even bother to re-gear. Get some D60's and gear them.

http://www.americangearshop.com does all my gear work. He's in La Habra and stocks or can get all the parts you need as well.

Where are U located...

A buddy of mine may have a set (F & R) of Waggy 6 lug D44's up for sale if he does'nt use them in his project. I doubt he'll want that much for them. :jiggy:

Temecula area is ~1hr drive north of my place, but not up I-5 along the coast, it's up I-15 inland on the way to San Bernardino. :pablo:

Thanks Fellas, I will be doin some follow up after christmas. I was hoping to hear from y'all how much to expect to pay for this project and how many of y'all fork out the dough for this. Between the lift/wheels and tires and the flares I am wwaaaayyyyy over my budget. Or shall I say the wifes budget.:teehee:

labor and parts are going to be close to 1500 to 2000 - you might find it cheaper but after you buy gears and install kits its not cheap by any means..

Pat's Gearbox in San Jacinto is closest to you. Most of the Hemet Jeep Club go there for gear changes.
