Call the person you are buying it from and ask them what the use when they had it on their jeep are does your Jeep tub have holes in it if so go buy you some bolts and nuts to bolt it to the tub but keep in mine you will need to both the hard top to the window frameto. you need to take all of your hardware off your jeep that holds the soft top on. But call the person you are buying it from and ask him what you need. If he does not know then fine some one that has a hard top on there jeep YJ in your area and look at their jeep. also ask the person you are buying it if it is a factory top are after market top. you can always borrow a trailer and haul it back.

I leave my windsheild channel on and pull all the soft top rails etc. Then I use six bolts to hold it on and no windsheild screws. It has worked fine for years like this on the highway etc. It did leak in through the top of the windsheild once during a monsoon on the highway but ath was it.

thanks for the help so far guys but I have one other thing. The Hardtop is from a CJ and I have a YJ. I have heard from the people here that there won't be a problem. But in looking in the myspace jeep group someone posted that they had a problem with the rear gate closing like it should. Has anyone run into this problem before? Thanks again for your help

My first YJ had what I think was a CJ top.If I remember correctly to open the rear window on the hard top I had to open the rear gate. To close the rear hardtop window you would have to have the gate open, close the window then close the gate.

Mine is from a CJ. I had no problems with the tailgate. The only probelm I had was it hitting the spreader bars. I just removed them before i had a cage. You can notch the bars or the hard top if you want.
