Theres no replacement for a traction bar, unless you are going to be street wheelin'. You are going to have iron stiff springs that don't wrap, nor flex, or get some semi-beef springs with a traction bar and call it a day. The article saying their traction bar limit flex is a crock of ****, it was probably built wrong. They may limit flex a tad, but nothing enough to notice nor worry about.

Here's the way I look at it. If your SOA, your running decent sized tires (35s or up). You are running 4.56s or up to-boot. With large amounts of traction larger tires provide, and way more torque that lower gearing gives you, you aren't going to get around a traction bar unless you run dumptruck leaf springs (which are like a foot thick). So, if your running dumptruck leaf springs, you are totally missing one of the huge advantages to soa - flex.

If your going to do it, just suck it up and do it. It's not rocket science.

Leaf springs are easy to home brew. A couple of quality c-clamps, and a long (at least a foot long) rod the same diameter of your centering pins makes it an easy task. Arrange the springs the way you want to run them. Put your make-shift centering pin in. Compress the leaves with the c-clamps. The rod keeps the leafs centered. When ya got it there, take the rod out, bolt in your centering pin, and take off the c-clamps. Thats it.

My Alcans already have this technology built in. Worked great with my 33's. Recently upgraded to 35's. Haven't wheeled yet with the new tires. Going to go with a traction bar soon.
