This guy did it. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=248791&highlight=hood+grill

the body line's did not line up very well. A cj clip will line up corectly.

a CJ clip takes more work than you think. it is still easier than the TJ clip though.

I'm wondering why U would even ask, if your driving a Rubi. :puzzled:

Question for U... would'nt it look nicer if U put a YJ clip on your Rubicon? ;) :brows: square headlight are way, cool, ya know. (yellow for ya, of course! :disagree: )

change it, the tj is alot easier to switch than a cj grill, plus looks alot better.
i have seen a few, one in person, looked great

i used a CJ front clip on my jeep. I only used the hood and grill and made some tube fenders. the only thing you gotta keep in mind is that if you use it you need to put a body lift in it or trim some out of the grill to get it to sit down low enough and clear the power steering pump lines.

If you like that doe eyed cutesy look, go buy buy a tj. Heck, I might buy one for my mom. I'll take the down to business, take no prisoners, square headlighted jeep any day. "Jeepers" like you don't deserve to drive YJs:pthh:

woah no one is saying anything bad about the yj. just not everyone cares for the square headlights. its like blonde vs. brunette hell ill take both but we cant always do that

Love it or leave it. Square headlights rule! I was watching Dr.90210 and saw a male exotic dancer get a plastic chin insert. I imagine he'd probably swap to round headlights too....:not4me:

This is my favorite mindless internet argument, so please don't take me too seriously:agree: If you need definitive answers on ford vs. chevy or blonde vs. brunette, let me know

It's a lot of work/$$ for simply a cosmetic thing. I'd prefer to put my $$ and time into something that's going to improve the performance of the rig vs. looks but that's just me. No one accused me of trying to make my Jeep look bling!
Cheers,
