I think my YJ box is cooked.
Box was a new refurb 2 years ago, pump made noise and over heated a few times. So I put in a cooler and a new pump last year. However my steering is terrible. I cant remember when it started sucking, but it does. Unless I am moving forward, it wont turn the 35" tires with hubs and a locker.
So, not sure how to tell which is the problem, but I am thinking since the pump is not leaking, making any noise, and is the newest item, that maybe the box is cooked from those few times of overheating. (who knows)
So, should I figure out a way to test it for pressure. just put in wagoneer or Durnago box (i heard they fit????)
Not sure what the best thing to do is here.
By the way, I would love an ARG or PSC, but the most the wife will let me spend is $200 to fix it. "say I spend to much now" :devbug:
any thoughts?
