So i just replaced my cat and muffler along with the tailpipe. Before the swap, i was getting about 20mpg... (the old muffler had a hole in the side of it about the size of pro football) and the old cat was original. Since i put on the new ones (walker quietflow), im getting about 17mpg now (probably because of the newly restricted flow) which is the same mpg i was getting before my old exhaust exploded. My brother has those electric exhaust cut outs on his camaro. I was thinking about installing one on mine so i could get that unrestricted flow again at highway, but i was curious about whether to install it between the cat and muffler, OR before the cat all together.
